Originally posted by:But aren't that files needed? As the OP stated, he has no idea what those files are for, but so far the game is running without issues. This is a common 'fix' for many games, and in most cases the files aren't vital to the game -soometimes they're audio, some textures, or a random video effect-, so you don't even notice what you're missing until someone bothers to take a look at the files and figure out what they do. Whatever the case, you'll at least be able too play the game, which is more than you can do right now. Just cut those files and move them to a folder named badfiles or whatever, and keep them there in case they patch it and you want to restore them.
I have actually been in contact with Techland over this issue as I had the game launch ONCE after 1.5.0 update then this exact same issue occurred. I have the pre-ordered hardcopy, so re-installing was no issue, which I done twice, deleted folders in documents relating to DL, even ran CCleaner, uninstalling, re-installing MS redist packages, DX, and Techlands response was rather quick, 3 emails back and forth within several hours was impressive IMO. I did however have 1.4.0 backed up, and when I replaced the directory and ran Steam in 'Offline' mode the game launched fine, displaying 1.4.0.
Techlands response today was this, I have not tried it yet, but I will be. //// Please delete the following files: c:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/dying light/dw/data/enginepc.rpacz c:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/dying light/dw/data/enginepc.rpack And go to your Steam LIBRARY, right-click Dying Light and open the Local Files tab and select VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE ////.
You actually get a message in the main menu when you use modified files. I didn't, only I ran the just released version of the manager tool once. Then I got the message, though still have film grain whenever I loaded anything (i.e. I turn grain off in the main menu, grain is gone, I load the save, grain is back). Everything in out data (mods) is now merged into data3.pak by the game Oh yeah, thanks!
I just looked at that, it had a fresh timestamp and the manager tool data folder stuff in it - so I deleted that data3.pak in the hopes the game would then read in the actual contents of my out data folder and recreate the data3.pak, but instead it just gave me the modding message again, loaded up the game completely unmodded and with grain, and upon exiting I found the data3.pak file has not been recreated. I guess I'll try to make it manually, hmmpf. Did you or anyone get an actual mod to work? UPDATE: Okay, I got it now. I had to manually pack my modded data folder into a zip file and call that data3.pak.
Can be easily scripted, but they really should make that clear, or make sure there is no bug in the process, because the game did keep telling me it acknowledged my mods, without loading them. But thanks, you saved the day for me:). Thank you, this worked for me. It seems to be related to modded files of any kind though, and not specifically those in the 'out' folder. I had a mod that makes the in-game watch viewable on command and the file it replaced was in the Dying Light/DW directory. I'm pretty sure that was the only file Steam replaced, seeing as it only validated one file and the mod no longer works. I am able to accept the challenge prompt though, which is fantastic considering the other options were wait for a patch or start a new game.
Anyway, yeah hopefully this gets a hotfix soon. Yaariyan 2014 full movie torrent download.
Techland has released a new patch for the PC version of Dying Light that significantly reduces RAM memory usage and brings various performance improvements to it. Dying Light Patch 1.4.0 Changelog: Hardware, performance & stability issues - Resolved various stability issues - Numerous general performance optimizations - Significantly reduced RAM memory usage Gameplay issues - Added option to disable film grain video effect. Before the patch, the game would eat up all my 8 GBs available and it would stutter horribly when reaching beyond 7.5 GBs, and would crash if I didn't allow at least 12 GB of virtual memory.
Now, I rarely see beyond 5 GB of usage. Took them a while though to fix that memory leak, or should I say memory black hole. Unfortunately I had already finished the game, so a little to late.
I dont think it was a memory leak. I feel that the engine was not coded right and the game wasnt streaming the textures the right way. This game was also for console correct? I read some where that there is a problem with porting from the new console to pc because the memory managment is handled differently(gpu and system memory is shared together). And that is what is causing the memory issues with windows. This patch is giving me quite a nice boost in performance. I just beat the game and maxed out my skill trees.
My Weapons are 2,500-3,000 damage and I have a lot of awesome blueprints. After I beat the game, it unlocked a hard mode called 'New Game Plus'. So I am going to give it another go. Maybe you should also try the New Game Plus playthrough.
You get to keep everything from your first playthrough so that is pretty good. It also lets you choose how far back you want to go in the story when you start.
Black Ops 2 Nosteam Patch
I went ahead and started from the beginning and this time I will take more time and do all of the side missions. #5015067 Posted on: 07:36 PM I dont think it was a memory leak. According to Nvidia's optimization guide, the only difference between high and medium texture setting is caching. They use the same textures as far as anyone can tell; they just preload a lot more.
Probably due to poor streaming. #5015147 Posted on: 10:16 PM Game runs really smooth for me, outside sometimes can drop pretty low 25-40 fps but i have the view distance up pretty high. Plus i have all the Nvidia settings all on and maxed out. For some reason i can't get V-sync to work and the card runs away sometimes producing 500fps (indoors) or cut scenes. I hate that grain effect, it's still there when i turn it off but it's a lot less noticeable. I also hate the snow effect or ash or whatever it is, plus the huge flocks of crows causes huge frames drop when you look directly in that direction.
Still the game plays absolutely fine now after this patch and i'm actually enjoying it now even if it is a rip off from other games before it.
